3 Ways To Use Tea Tree Oil For Acne Treatment

         Tea tree oil for acne

Using an oil, such as tea tree oil to treat a skin condition caused by excess oil sounds strange, right? Well, according to a University of Maryland Medical Center research, tea tree oil is less harsh than benzoyl peroxide and also more effective in treating acne breakouts.

Tea tree oil is made from the Melaleuca alternifoliate plant, it contains terpinen-4-ol, which is what gives it its antimicrobial properties.

Applying tea tree oil to the acne-affected area of your face destroys the bacteria that is living on your skin which leads to acne and pimples.

Its antiseptic and antibacterial properties are what helps in the treatment of acne and pimples. It is a great natural alternative to the harsh chemicals found in most acne treatment products.

When applied to the affected skin, tea tree oil penetrates deeply into the skin to unblock the sebaceous glands. Unblocking the sebaceous glands disinfects the pores of your skin, dries out the whiteheads, zits, blackheads, etc, and prevents them from breaking out in the future.

There are so many different ways you can use this oil to treat acne, I’ll be writing about a few of them. As it is extremely potent, make sure you always dilute tea tree oil before applying on your skin; either with water or with any of these other ingredients I’ll write about, or any other ingredients you choose to add to it.
The best one to use is 100% raw, pure organic tea tree oil, this will determine the effectiveness of your acne treatment.
